Open Source Face Shield
The Open Source Face Shield is a low cost, medical face shield designed to be quickly made using almost any flat material fabrication equipment (laser cutters, rule dies, drag knife, CNC punch, etc.), or even scissors and an office hole punch from any clear flexible material. It requires no hardware or 3D printed parts, just two pieces of flexible clear plastic and an elastic band.
How to Wear, Wash, and Make Cloth Masks
CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. Wondering how to properly wear, wash, or make a cloth mask to help slow the spread of COVID-19? Here are some great resources.
How to Make Hand Sanitizer
When it comes to preventing the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19, nothing beats good old-fashioned handwashing. But if water and soap aren’t available, your next best option, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
Medical Safety Box Project, Creation, and Cut Files
D3 Repro Group is a small business dedicated to large format digital printing and installations located in NYC. Our main focus has been event graphics, but now we are focused on volunteering our services to the fight against COVID-19. We are in a unique position in that we are able to manufacture and distribute acrylic intubation boxes. These boxes serve as an extra barrier of protection for medical professionals when treating those affected with the coronavirus, which is highly contagious. We want anyone to be able make these boxes so we are providing cut files that can be used on CNC or Laser cutters. Please feel free to download and share.
